Restorative Dentistry

Bone Grafting

Bone Grafting

When needed, bone grafts build a strong foundation for one or more dental implants down the road. They create a thicker and wider base to support implants and long-term dental restoration. Did you know that around 95 percent of dental bone grafting surgeries are successful, but it's on us and our patients to make sure that the procedure is a success and a step along the road toward building a beautiful smile. We put a premium on the "care" aspect of dental care. This includes communicating fully and honestly with each patient. After your dental exam, your dental health professional will decide whether there's enough foundation for the tooth/teeth implant. If not, a bone graft becomes the correct course of action to keep the implant from failing.

Cavity Treatment

Cavity Treatment

Cavities, also called tooth decay or dental caries, are a common dental problem affecting people of all ages. At Aspire Family Dentistry we see how tooth decay can impact your oral health and overall well-being if left untreated. Cavities form when harmful bacteria in your mouth produce acids that erode your tooth enamel, eventually causing holes in your teeth. Our goal is to help you understand, prevent, and treat cavities to keep your smile healthy and bright.

But what exactly happens during a dental exam, and why is it so important? Let's walk you through it.

Contouring & Reshaping

Contouring & Reshaping

Contouring and reshaping teeth is integral to a wide range of high-level cosmetic dentistry goals that we provide to children and adults. We start with an in-depth consultation, examining the total state of your dental health, then and only then we begin a process that starts with a thorough teeth cleaning. Next, we color match the materials to your teeth, then hold it in place. Once it cures, we shape each treated tooth, clean and polish them. When time counts, count on us. We are experts in dental bonding and most treatments can be carried out during a single appointment, which you'll leave with a big smile and increased confidence. In addition to the conditions listed above, dental bonding can help with teeth of varying lengths, teeth shaped incorrectly, and recessed gums. Here's a detailed look at the 3-step process: - Step 1: First, your Aspire Family Dentistry dentist will perform an initial exam and consultation and will likely need to take x-rays to get a true picture of the issue. After making sure the tooth and/or teeth are healthy and capable of sustaining the procedure. - Step 2: We'll schedule it and get to work on your smile! FYI: Pain medication and numbing agents usually aren't required for tooth contouring and reshaping, depending on the severity of your dental health situation. - Step 3: Tooth contouring and reshaping are often performed along with dental bonding. We will determine if Dental Bonding is right for your path to your perfect smile.

Emergency Dental Care

Emergency Dental Care

While we always strive to be careful about our welfare and that of others, sometimes accidents do happen. Most people know what to do when someone hurts an arm or leg, but a dental emergency often renders us helpless about what to do next. If you or a loved one is experiencing a dental emergency please call a dentist right away. Here at Aspire Family Dentistry we provide same-day emergency dental services that include helping with damage to teeth and damage to dental implements like crowns or bridges. Different dental emergencies require different care. For example, if a tooth is knocked out or breaks, you should bring the tooth or piece of tooth with you to the dental office. If you or your family member is experiencing swelling or pain you can use a cold compress to alleviate pain as you travel to the dentist. If you or a family member is bleeding you can use gauze or a clean cloth and apply light pressure to the area. NOTE: If you are experiencing a dental emergency severe in nature and/or involves a medical emergency, call 911.

Mouth Guards

Mouth Guards

Our patients commonly ask us about mouth guards. Protecting your teeth is important. After all, once baby teeth fall out, and the permanent set of teeth has grown in, you're expected to use them for the rest of your life. But even with good oral care, infected teeth and gums aren't the only risks to your mouth. Physical mishaps are always a danger to teeth. Accidents happen, and people trip or fall, but when it comes to sports, this danger to teeth rises exponentially. Falls, collisions, and many other mishaps during sports all have the potential to chip, damage, or even knock teeth out. But avoiding sports can't be the only answer to ensuring the safety of your teeth. And it isn't. While sports may increase the risk of an injury to your mouth, there are certain things you can do to protect your teeth. One of these things is the use of a mouth guard.
