Veneers

The dental veneer contains wafer-thin, shell-like resin, composite, or porcelain material tied to the front of the teeth. It repairs several dental conditions, including chipped, torn, or undershaped teeth. Following their application, veneers are cemented to the teeth and adhere permanently, giving the teeth structural support where necessary.

- Consultation and Preparation: Our dentists remove only the required quantity of enamel from the tooth. - Impression: An impression of the tooth is then taken to make a customized veneer. - Bonding: When the veneer is finished, the tooth's surface is dug and covered with liquid to strengthen bonding. A dental cement designed especially for bonding is placed on both teeth and veneer, and the tooth is exposed to a special light that rigors cement, which keeps the veneer in place.

- Ease of use: Veneers are used to cure various dental issues, such as gaps in teeth, torn or sticky teeth, long or shaped teeth, short teeth, and severe staining. - Longevity: The veneer can last for decades with proper care. - Minimal Tooth Alteration: In this process, minimal enamel has to be removed, and the natural tooth structure remains intact. - Customizable: Each veneer is tailored to match your teeth's natural color and shape.

It's fascinating to note how veneers are different from other types of dental restorations: - Dental Implants: Dental implants replace the whole tooth, root and all, and are employed when a tooth is lost. - Crowns: Crowns cover the whole tooth and are generally employed when a tooth is severely damaged or decayed. - Veneers: Veneers only cover the front of the tooth and are mostly employed for cosmetic improvements and small restorations.
